Dr. Waltemath graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  He then attended Emory University School of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class and was inducted in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.  Dr. Waltemath is a current member of the Nashville Dental Society, the Tennessee Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and an officer in the Volunteer Dental Study Club.  He has served on several committees for the Nashville Dental Society and has been a past chairman of the of the Peer Review Committee.  He also supports the Interfaith Dental Clinic and volunteers at the clinic.

Dr. Waltemath has practiced in west Nashville for the past 35 years.  His 35 years of clinical experience is enhanced by his ongoing continuing education.  He has been awarded a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry due to his dedication to continuing education.  His passion is cosmetic dentistry and the restoration of dental implants.

Dr. Waltemath and his wife live in Green Hills and they are active in their community and St. George's Episcopal Church.  They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
